Google’s latest blog seems about Google stepping on the messaging services with the new features.
Google announced that there are some new updates and changes going for Google Chats and Hangouts from next year and it will be free for all.
The blog shows some of the features like direct and grouping messages are coming in the Hangouts and also features like faster search, emoji reactions and suggested replies, etc.
By using Google chat, users can easily plan with others on goals and similar interests, and they can share their documents and files.
The Google Chat has the Same Phishing Protections as same as in the Gmail and also if a link is sent to a user via Chat, the link will be checked against real-time data from safe browsing.
Google ensures the smooth transition from Hangouts to Chat, it will help automatically migrate Hangouts conversations, along with contacts and saved history. More specific guidance is available for the transition process in google chat.
Google is also going to remove call phone features from Hangout, replace the call phones they bring with the existing Hangouts conversations to Google’s Message app, and manage Fi texts and calls in the messaging app for the web.
They also announced that they will be bringing the Hangouts Voice users to the Voice app for text messaging. It seems Google is going forward to remove Voice support in Hangouts.
